April 16th -18th, 2008 Intercontinental Hotel Beijing, China – China’s payment industry are bound to face fierce competition, increased regulatory stress and the challenges from foreign banks and financial institutes after China’s banking sector opening in 2006. TWIST formally endorses Payment China 2008, a summit that focuses on the Chinese payments market.

For foreign banks and financial organizations it remains a question how to seize opportunities while conquering the advantages of localization of China’s banks and domestic financial organizations in Chinese market still remains unresolved.
In 2007 a successful event was organised about the topic, — Payment China 2007. This year the  2nd annual congress is organised —Payment China 2008 on the 16th-18th of April, 2008 in Beijing, China. With the support of the PEOPLE’S BANK OF CHINA, this summit is definitely the world’s biggest and most senior gathering of payment and clearing & settlement players – there were over 300 attendees at the 2007 event.

The organisers of Payment China 2008 have invited executive officials, payments decision-makers, experts from commercial banks, central banks, banking regulators, service providers, payment networks and associations, and corporate treasury areas. They are given the opportunity to gather in Beijing to discuss the opportunities and business strategies of the building and opening of Chinese payment and settlement system, and probe into the high efficiency & safety and innovation & modernization of payment methods such as cards, notes, e-payment. With a line-up of 450+ top-level decision-makers from commercial banks, central banks, banking regulators, service providers, payment networks and associations, and corporate treasury areas worldwide, Payment China 2008 is poised to become an interesting event.
